A trip to Eastern Hilltop from Western seaside.

As from the early trips there is one small change, we split our trip into two days.
First day to Ponmudi.80 K.M on eastern side from Varkala.
Second day in Varkala itself. (Don’t think that Varkala is a small tourist place).

Feels natural beauty in its original style.

Same as before, four crews ready for the drive on Maruti Esteem VXI fully loaded KL-08 X 6969.

We started at 8.30 am from Varkala and didn’t feel that it’s a long journey compare with other tours. We get time to relax and enjoy.

Our rout is

Varkala->Attingal ->Venjaramodu - >Nedumangadu - >Vithura-> kallar->Ponmudi.

The dead-end

Comparing with other top stations, this place is not much high from sea level.

It’s around 915 mts above sea level. The pathways are narrow and the atmosphere is cool and lush green meadows.

Meenmutty Waterfalls, on the way to ponmudi - located near to Kallar. The waterfall along with its serene surroundings offers a unique and invigorating experience. A steep section of rough rock cliff which slopes at about 90 degrees. The ledge can curve downstream (convex). A trek of two kms from Kallar, through dense forests, (half KM on car and remaining by foot) would take us to Meenmutti waterfalls and a further two kms, to the Kombaikani waterfalls.

One thing happened is that the same day same time when we are on the waterfalls, elephants attack a lady and killed, it’s just near to us. This is not an isolated case there.Journey from Meenmutty to ponmudi is very nice.Top station is like heaven.We're on the top of the clouds.Hills covered with mists.Floating clouds in between the hills will appear
